The Tasty Art of McCullough

So after 2 or 3 years of not watercoloring, I thought it was about time to break them out.  I need more practice!

Also, right as I was getting to the end of this drawing.. it started to rain on me. It’s hard to watercolor in the RAIN.

So I think I may do a drawing a day kind of thing.  We’ll see how it goes.  SO, here we Go!  Day 1 Aug. 18!

I’m excited for August.  At the end of this month I will be returning back to school. I’m very excited. I’ll be doing graphic art/advertisting major.  I’m only as far as I can go without any real training. I look forward to what it will bring me and the growth I hope to see.

In the mean time, I’ve been filling my days with some form of art.

I’m thinking of doing more.. like pies, cakes, and cupcakes. Who knows!

So, it never seems to fail me. When someone has a kite high in the sky flying proudly in the sky and it’s given to me… it wants to kill itself. That damn thing makes a V-line for the earth as fast as it can.

I make kites want to kill themselfs…

Summers almost here, I already feel it. But, am I ready for it…?  Who knows.  Wish me luck.

This took me some time, I’m not sure if it’s the finished piece or if it’s a work in progress. We shall see!

Anyhow, this makes three out of the way. Way to many more to go.

So Hawaii was a blast! I really enjoyed myself there and got so many great shots! I’ll share some here!  This is one of my favorite shots. This is also the view from my room, looking down that is. So much fun. I got to drive all around that island and get lost! Hah. It’s not that hard to get lost on an island after all!  I learned some hula dances, man is it a work out. I got to make my own lei. I didn’t even get to take home a sunburn! hah

After I got home from my vacation I found out I lost my job. But, fear not, I have another job already. In the mean time I’ve been practicing my drawing and coloring on the computer skills. This is one of my best friends friends. Heh. I almost feel like I know her. Ahh living through people.  heh

In two weeks time I will be flying my happy self to Hawaii! My ever loving boyfriend, who sadly will not be going, is allowing ever so graciously me to borrow his digital SLR to take awesome pictures of the beautiful land!  I’m learning how to use the camera and how to edit the images. So these past couple of days I’ve been going out and taking some pictures of  different places and my backyard. Which includes some dogs!

This pretty dog is Reba. She’s a full blood golden lab. She’s the first dog that we’ve had who will play catch and other dog games. In fact shes the first “dog.”  Hah. The one before her and the second one we have pretty much see themselves as humans. Spoiled. Tsk.

This weekend my boyfriend came to visit me. It just so happens that Four Winds Renaissance Faire was going on. For those of you who don’t know, this was the place that we first met! We decide to head over and see some people. I had so much fun playing with the camera!

This dashing knight is a good friend of mine. It’s was really nice to get to spend a little time with him and his wife! Yay friends!  I’ve got a couple more pictures of this joust that I’m working on. But, I wont flood them all here.

I’ve lost the battle, but I will win this war against gravity. Last night I, some how, managed to miss 2 steps on my stairs and then gravity took control. Rather painfully. Unfair fighting if you ask me.  So, I’ve been sitting around with both feet in the air hoping the swelling with go down.   Fun times my friends. So I’ve been working on some art.

Well! That was a trip! It took a while to get site up and running. I’m glad I have a wonderful boyfriend who knows what he’s doing! This is going to be a dumping ground for my art work. I mean a tasty treat for you!    Let’s get this show on the road!
